If you arent gonna overclock dont bother with custom looping or high end boards with beefy vrms, just a big waste of money you can put to something more useful like a cpu upgrade

I dont reccomend 4x16 nor cl14 cause 4x16 puts alot of load on the imc and may yeild worse oc and cl14 is usually expensive af, cl16 rams can be oced to cl14 anyways so why even bother

If you are only doing occasional vid edits and stuff 980 pro isnt worth it, no noticable speed difference in loading times, only noticable when regularly moving large files like videos, get an sn550 or 980 (non pro)

Seems like a decent build, cant really bash rgb ram cause cl14 sticks are usually rgb anyways

I am planning on overclocking thats why I was torn between going with a higher end board or not.

what would you recommend I go with for ram, 2x32 cl16?

I think youll want a b550e, 14 phase and its not overly expensive

Why b550 over x570?

Only go x570 if you need to use more than 1 gen4 nvme drive, otherwise b550 is superior
