Hello, so basiclly I saved an Dell Optiplex 780 SFF from trash.

I want to build a second gaming pc that will run me a few titles like:

Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Multiplayer)

Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2005 Ed.

Minecraft (Singleplayer or max. a LAN Server when my little brother will wanna play with me)

Counter Strike 1.6 (Multiplayer)

Parts List:

CPU: Core 2 Quad Q6600 (3GHz [BSEL MOD])

GPU: Medion GeForce GTX 650 1GB [I'll add a PCI-E 16x Riser to get it inside of case]

RAM: 6GB DDR3 1600MHz (1x4 and 1x2)

PSU: Stock Dell PSU

HDD: 320GB Seagate

OS: Windows 7 Pro Ed.

Peripherials:

Mouse: Logitech G300S

Keyboard: DELL ALIENWARE SK-8165

Monitor 1: HannsG HQ191

Monitor 2: Samsung 740N

Mousepad: No-Name but it's design  got me

Will it be a good machine for it?

Will 6GB RAM be Enough for Win7?

What can I change here?

Let me know what do You think.

Swap the q6600 for an e/x5450 if you can cause optiplex 780 uses a q45 board which is equivalent to a g43 which can oc to around 450mhz fsb

Cause q6600 is gonna require around 1.6v for 4ghz while e/x5450 is gonna be able to reach around 3.6-3.8ghz with stock volts, only way to go higher is voltmodding

For voltmod its basically like bsel mod though different pads, i have a celeron d 300 ∆ datasheet which shows the pads you want to mod for volts, voltmod is not like bsel where there are a crap ton of tutorials for it, you are basically on your own

I have 6 more q6600 and 2 more q8400...

I don't need to invest in 775.

My GPU is a GTX 650 1GB, so I don't gonna use a full potential of CPU...

I think swapping a cpu could be useless.

But I want to buy RAM with radiators like Kingston HyperX 8GB.

Will it work fine in this machine?

2x4GB 1600MHz DDR3

Prob will work fine

Heres celeron d pdf if youd like to oc that q6600 to 3.2ghz or above, just make sure your current temps arent that high

And for ocing you can use setfsb, i think for dells you need to checkmark the ultra box to be able to mess with the fsb and pcie freq, you can find the pll by looking at your mobo

I think you will need to raise your pcie whilst raising your fsb cause if you dont i think it will crash

Btw on the optiplex wiki page the 780 supposedly supports 16gb ddr3
