microphone grounding issue

i have a go xlr and a sm7b and ever since i have moved from my laptop setup to my pc im getting static in the background. I know it's a grounding issue because if I put my finger tip on the mic the static reduces.

what can i do to try to fix this issue?

 

the go xlr is plugged in power wise to a power strip if that helps.

 

edit. tried using the focusrite interface no static issues
