Hey, im trying to put together my new pc and I can’t  seem to get the mounting bracket to fit the motherboard. Im using a corsair capellix 150i elite on a z490 rog strix gaming a with a i9 10850. From what I understand from the videos i’ve been looking at and the instructions I have to put the intel mounting bracket on the back of the board but the holes dont line up. I’m not sure if im using the wrong mounting system but everything says lga 1200 has to use the back plate to mount the cooler. If anyone has any idea what im doing wrong i would appreciate the advice.

Sounds stupid, but have you turned the back mounting plate 90 degrees? one side of the socket is longer than the other so try the backplate rotated.
