ESO 23 GB patch?

So I wanted to play ESO yesterday but I had to download like 700 mb, so I just let it download over night because my internet is SUPER slow. So I get off work today and I went to get on ESO and it wants me to download another 23 GB!! Is this right? Did anyone else have to download another 23 GB today or did my launcher just randomly decide to re download most of the game?

Maybe it's validating the installation?

nah ive been playing from the start  there was a small patch gb or less I believe   that is all I just logged in right now for the first time today  nothing.

 

edit - although I think there was a 2gb patch too but that might have been b4 early access

wait...is ESO out????

As I get older I get angrier more cynical, meaner. I feel some warning posts coming. I feel a ban coming. I was warned.

If you played the BETA, there is a 20GB+ patch from BETA to full, this is normal.  just ride it out.

 

Early access was a complete and utter joke.  More downtime than up time.  Check the ESO forums if you want to see some understandable rage.  Many people pre-order a game for access to be able to play early and you can't even do that.  Servers coming down without warning, for undisclosed periods of time, no comment on whether those who pre-ordered will be given any compensation.  Already off to a really rocky start IMO.

 

I pre-ordered because I got it for $43 on GMG, and for the early access.  Luckily I didn't do the 5-day Imperial Edition B.S.
