I just installed a new nvidia GPU (i used AMD before) and there is a lot of screen tearing when im just on my desktop (Chrome, windows settings etc. although not in Steam and Edge for some reason). In games it is alright so dont really know where is the problem. The only cause I can think of is that my monitor has FreeSync which I used with my old GPU but not G-sync. There should not be any screen tearing though if I have v-sync globally on in NVIDIA control panel right? Does anyone have similar experience? This is probably just very stupid problem but its also very anoying and i dont know how to fix it.

Did you uninstall the amd drives and install new nvidia drivers?
