I noticed a drop in fps, when I haven't installed anything new. So I tested everything, and I notcied that my fps is the same when I have only one stick of 8gb ram at 3200 and two sticks of 8 gb of ram at 3200. Why is this happening?

Maybe you are CPU or GPU limited. Could be because either your graphics card or CPU runs slow, fx because of overheating. What temps are you seeing?

List your full system here, also list the games you're testing here, settings and the FPS.

 

It could literally be anything with this little information 😉

GPU at 60c at idle? What temps are you getting while gaming?

I don't think adding 8gb more ram is going to add a significant amount of fps in valorant.
Maybe 10% at most if your CPU allows it and/or if you won the silicon lottery or something.
Since it's still on the same Mhz.

It it isn't my ram do you know why my fps got worse when I upgraded from a Ryzen 5 3600 to a Ryzen 7 3700x?
