I have been trying to reset a iPhone 6 plus because it is fully disabled and I have to connect to iTunes in order to reset it. Well when I connect it to my laptop I get an error: "iTunes could not connect to this iPhone. An unknown error occurred (0xE8000015)."

I was wondering if this is able to be fixed or if it should just go the electronic recycling bin.

Also I have tried to use multiple different computers with iTunes including a Mac and I get the same error everytime. I have tried the connect to itunes recovery mode and it still has the same error.

This error code means that iTunes isn't recognizing your device, this could be caused by several factors, follow the steps from Apple Support to try and get iTunes to recognize your iPhone.

If you still held onto any form of proof of purchase (ex. receipt), try taking it over to the Apple store and see if they can get it reset/unlocked.

Hope this information post was helpful  ?,
