Disk still 100% usage.

Tydfil

Hi all, this has probably been covered but I can't find it. I'm having an issue with a laptop, it is still showing disk usage 100%, I have already disabled superfetch, indexing, cortana, telemetry, win update, all the xbone crap, run check disk but nothing seems to have worked.

Can anyone suggest anything please?

Ethernet is also being a pain in the arse but that's an issue for another day

What are the specs on the system?

Is it booting from a HDD? Getting a ssd will make the system much faster.

It's a Toshiba dynabook b45/b win 10 pro 64bit

Intel celeron 3855u 1.6GHz

8gb ram

500GB HDD,

Directx 12

Not an overly powerful system but it's what I've been given to work with

Yeah been thinking about it but it's a works machine, not sure how happy the boss will be with me tinkering haha, plus the win 10 is an upgrade from previous os so no installation media, if I used Microsoft creation tool to make one would it still install on a different HDD/SSD if it's in the same system?

You can clone the install, no need to do a fresh install here.

If its a work syste, work with IT to get a upgrade.

Effectively we have no onsite IT department, and what we do have deals with the email system mainly, small operation. I'll convince him somehow 😁

Cheers for letting me pick your brain.
