While you at it, make sure to check the thermal paste, usually if the mounting pressure is correct the paste would be thin and nicely spread out

So to make this quick my pc parts are CPU: i7 6700, GPU: Asus Dual fan gtx 1060 3GB,Ram: Ripjaws 16G,Pc case: Zalman Z11 Plus, So i never had any issue with tempratures in my life i made this build in 2015 and always my temprature was around 75c when gaming Currently even if i try to load a game my Gpu reaches at 92c even by just being on the menu of the game. Even now that im writing this message and monitor my gpu Temp is at 65 by just being on chrome, i cleaned my pc i re apply thermal paste clean my gpu and case of the dust i already try tweak around my fans with Msi After burner even downclock my gpu but i a rarerly even Overclock it maybe 12 times since i made my pc since 2015 so im out of ideas here i have no idea as to how and why my gpu is generating so much heat, Even when i play games i used to play for example Overwatch and i play to the lowest Gpu settings {Due to im a really competitive and i care more about performance rather than graphics} so is there any opinion as to why? or is just my gpu reach it exprired date? :/ {Excuse my english} Also my knowledge of pcs are decent i would say, so if anyone can help please note that i might need more explaining as to some terms i have no idea. Thank you in advance everyone

I assume it's a 1 fan card. 1 fan is enough for the size of it's pcb. Try checking the temps in the bios. And see if it's the same.

If my answer is correct or is helpful please mark it as the solution. Quote me in your post to summon me. Beware that after summoning me ill never leave.

Make sure youve spread the thermal paste across the entire gpu, cause most gpus dont have ihs like cpus, so if you miss a spot on the gpu it might get really hot in that spot, spread with a plastic spatula or your finger across the whole die till its fully covered

its a 2 fan GPU the exact model is DUAL-GTX1060-O3G from the oficial Asus site, Even if i check Bios how can i see if the temprature is increasing cause when im not gaming usually the temps are around 60 sometimes 65 and sometimes drop to 56 as soon as i load a game its increasing to 85c+. What im trying to say is even if i check Bios will it help sine the temprature is increasing as soon as i open a game i already check with Msi After burner Asus Gpu Tweak ii and with Nvidia Geforce same temps on every single of those programs

What do you mean with that? im sorry but my knowledge to pc is really low so forgive me on that

After you repaste and clean the card are you tightened the cooler (screw it down) as hard as it was before you tear it down?

Will do thanks for the info. But btw if i check and everything is okay is there the possibility that my gpu time is coming to an end? i mean i started noticed those temps a month ago and that was a reason why i even clean and change my thermal paste after a while was okay but then to be exact 3 days ago the same temps rize again

Imo no, really in my experience at least, gpu that is coming to it's "end" would have more problems than simply higher temps

And if all of that "procedure" to fix it seems make no difference there's 2 things that i can think of to "fix" it

1. Adjust the fan curve to aggressive (if you can) or just increase the fan speed in general

2. Undervolt it

okay i just noticed something i went to the Nvidia Control panel and set the Power managment to defualt which i think its optimal, i always have it to max performance, So as soon as i switch that restart my pc and put my fan speed on Msi after burner to 75% my temprature was running at 75c to 70c  which is the normal for me i think like usually that was the temp when i was playing. As soon as i switch to Maximum performance on Nvidia Controll panel and set the same fan speed my temp sky rocket to 83c even when i put my fan speed to max my temp was not going down and again i put power managment to optimal and my temps are run lower, Any idea why is that?

Unfortunately no, but I got something From Reddit not sure if this relevant to your problems

Quote

Maximum performance helps in CPU-limited games. The card doesn't downclock as much when it has nothing to do because of the CPU, so performance is more consistent.

Also is this running on windows, like just after boot or you have something running in the background?

Hey sorry late, but you can undervolt the card if you want

Or decrease the power target with msi after burner

are you ready to laugh? today i got so frustrated and i took apart the whole card. So prepare to laugh the issue i found was one of the fans had an unscrew screw. so i tighten the screw and thats it my temp is low AF i run stress tests i even played shadow of the tomb raider and my temp does not go higher than 70c. Iddle temp is at 50. I just cant believe it was that simple and i was busting my head with the heatsink etc it was just this one screw only. Thank you though so much for your help everyone in this forum is so kind and helpfull. Keep in mind the reason why i found it was because i was hearing a noise from the fan yesterday when i tested with stress tests etc and i took my hair dryer and put it against the fan to make it spin then when i increase the power of the hair dryer i noticed the fan got removed from its place so then i took apart the GPU and i saw the loose screw i know its laughable but to be sure i will definetly switch the fan later just to be sure
