Why do you wan to upgrade?  Money just burning a hole?  Because that machine is better than most here, and probably better than 99% of Steam Users.

Look at the 5800X and 3070/3080 series.  What are you giving to the gf?  Need more info here, fill us in on the WHOLE plan.

 

Future proofing when buying stuff doesn't make sense.  Since future proofing means NOT buying stuff again.  Doesn;t count if you upgrade every year or two to future proof 😉

I know im prob gonna go with a 3080 or the amd equivalent and leave it there for graphics and give the gpu to my gf, other than that not sure what I’ll give her, currently she is getting my old rig which is a x470 gaming pro motherboard, a 2700X with its stock cooler and a 650w PSU so her build is just missing ram gpu storage and a case

Some of the pieces were cheaped out on cuz they were ripped from my old rig, which ones in specific

Thank you for your input, i plan to upgrade to m.2 for boot drive and 6TB HDD for storage soon, psu i was thinking 750 gold but opinion is welcome

you can keep them and when you upgrade your GPU to 3060ti or 3070 at msrp upgrade the monitor 

but heres some monitors MSI  but VA , Acer and gigabyte
