Thermal pad question

Every gpu I’ve done in the past has been evga and I’ve always bought their water blocks so I’ve had thermal pads pre applied to the block. This time I’m doing a asus card with a ek block so I’m cutting pads myself. My question is does overhang matter a lot on any of these components? And if I place a pad on something that didn’t need one but doesn’t interfere with the blocks contact will it matter? The manual isn’t great for this card as their diagram isn’t quite a perfect match

Doesnt matter. Even if they are perfectly applied they will squeeze out a bit. If its like a lot of overhang you can see it when putting it on that it doesnt look right. If ur unsure get a ruler and measure... but u gotta have some bad eyes if u cant eyeball a thermal pad

Ping me or quote me in replys ples. Anyone talking about AiOs and trashing people for a front mount watch THIS JAYZTWOCENTS VID because u 99.9% skipped or didnt understand the Gamers Nexus vid...
