Antec DP501 Tower RGB Issue.

I've had my pc built in an Antec Dark Phantom 501 case for a little over a year now and just recently noticed the RGB not working properly. The tower itself features an ARGB hub that synchronizes the ARGB/RGB output to my components and can even hook up to the motherboard for a third party app to control the RGB. When I plug in the control interface for the onboard rgb and anything connected to the hub, the red light that's beside the tower reset button turns on and the LEDs flash white twice before going dark. What does that red light on my tower mean and why does the motherboard hookup not respond to RGB settings from the third party app?
