Hey guys,

So I am looking for a good desktop microphone to use. I have a set of headphones with a built in mic, but i'm a pretty casual gamer now and I don't like to use headphones anymore. I'm looking for a good enough desktop mic to use to Skype with friends while playing games and just casual use. Not looking to spend a ton of money.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Blue Snowflake. Snowball and Yeti are too expensive for what you need.

I own the Blue Eyeball, which is the Blue Snowflake with a webcam and I personally love it for using on Skype/Razer Comms and In-game. Also worked very well for me to record Youtube commentaries after a bit of tinkering in Audacity.

Apparently (did some searching) and I would go with the Snowflake, like they said, since it seems to be a good mic for your purposes.

That's what I thought. Should also mention I may use this for YouTube in the future though it's unlikely. But if I ever have time, that may happen.

Thanks guys!

Well my Snowflake was just fine for Youtube so the Snowball will be excellent. (Plus many big Youtubers still use a Blue Snowball as their main mic)
