how do I disable the integrated graphics card or atleast reduce the amount of ram it eats.

right now the integrated graphics is eating 2 gigs of ram ou tof my 8 gig ram stick. it is a hp laptop. the hp 15-ec0101ax. 

 

 want to install chrome os? here's how.

That laptop only has integrated graphics, meaning if you disable it you'll get no display lmao.

 

I *think* it's a thing you can change in BIOS, don't quote me on that though.

it has a discrete gtx 1650 so, I should be fine, also the bios has nothing about , well anything...it is a very locked down bios

no it has actually been reserved as system memory so it cannot even be used

I must have been looking at a different SKU or trim level of the same laptop, then, because it said it had Vega 8 graphics. Whatev.

 

And, yeah, I kind of figured the BIOS would be pretty useless. It's what OEMs tend to do.

hp is the worse at that part...I have mainly come here looking for a way to "unlock" the hidden featres of the bios as such

I understand...if it were the manufacturer support it would take 3 weeks to get a answer
