After installing the new AMD drivers i started getting lag in a bunch of games. After a little detective work I figured out its only an issue in borderless windowed games, which is kind of a bummer because some games I play are only borderless windowed. Does anyone know how i can fix that? I have a 2 monitor setup (i tried plugging out the second one, didnt work) with an RX 570, Ryzen 3 1200, 8 GB ram and i dont think any other info will be useful for this

Not sure of the cause, but I believe this is not an uncommon thing for borderless. I'm curious though, what games are these? I have never come across a title that did not allow fullscreen.

Crystal: CPU: i7 7700K | Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z270F | RAM: GSkill 16 GB@3200MHz | GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti FE | Case: Corsair Crystal 570X (black) | PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 1000W | Monitor: Asus VG248QE 24"

Laptop: Dell XPS 13 9370 | CPU: i5 10510U | RAM: 16 GB

Server: CPU: i5 4690k | RAM: 16 GB | Case: Corsair Graphite 760T White | Storage: 19 TB

What resolution are your monitors?

For example, if your games in 1080p fullscreen run fine vs if your monitors are 4k and you play borderless windowed, games will run like trash in borderless simply from the resolution difference.

But you say "After installing the new AMD drivers". Does this mean it worked fine before?? If so, have you tried running DDU to uninstall your display drivers and reinstall the older ones?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Bazzite

Might wanna try clean installing the driver or use DDU. Or if that fails try another driver version. Latest doesn't always mean best.

My display driver is from January still.

i did the ddu thing, didnt do much, and when i was using outdated drivers this happened

might i add, the games are very stuttery and hard to look at, but the fps is still the same as it always was. Portal 2 for example was super stuttery on borderless windowed, even though when i switched to fullscreen i was getting the same fps (120ish, my monitor is 144hz)
