Hey guys,

I've been looking for this information but am incapable of finding it anywhere, can anyone tell me which of the following fans is/are airflow optimized (regular case fan) and which is/are air pressure optimized (radiator fan)?

Be Quiet Silent Wings 2

Be Quiet Shadow Wings

Be Quiet Pure Wings 2

I want to use Be Quiet fans for my pc because they are, well, quiet.

I really can not find it anywhere what optimization the fans have, so thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

Gecko

PS. I didn't know if I had to post in Air- or Liquid Cooling

So in simpler terms, all 3 have pretty much the same airflow, as for pressure the Silent wings and Silent Wings 2 are more pressure optimized than the Pure Wings 2. Also the Silent Wings 2 are the quietest. I suggest you go with the Silent Wings 2 if any.

My Current Build:

Intel i5 3570K @ 4.4GHz 1.11V, Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, Asrock Z77 Extreme4, Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz, Samsung 840 EVO 250GB, Asus GTX 760 DCII Overclocked, Corsair CX600M

You shouldn't compare the specs, they mean literally nothing except the rpm. Be quiet doesn't have any static pressure fan, the gap between the blades are big that's more of an airflow optimized fan.

The only fans that are static pressure optimized are the ones that come with their heatsinks:

As you see the blades are much bigger on the heatsink's fan.

Big wide blades generally mean they are pressure optimised and smaller blades usually mean airflow. Look at the corsair AF and SP fans for a really ovbious difference in blade design.
