APU RAM

Go to solution Solved by Helpful Tech Witch,

yes.

if you allocate 1gbn of ram, it will use the first (or last, im not sure) gb for the igpus vram.

the other .1gb is for othwer things like the os kernal and the bios

Quick question about APU RAM allocation.

So my laptop has 14.9 gb of ram available when there's 16 gb in it, when it's got 8 gb in it it it says 6.9 gb available. The igpu, a Radeon r7, has 1gb of ram. Is that why my ram lists as 1gb less?

Thanks!
