Trayless blu-ray drives

Go to solution Solved by Zando_,

You're looking for an HPTC case then:

Silverstone has those, all fit ATX motherboards and 5.25" bays on the front like so:

Built for exactly this scenario.

I am planning a build to recycle an outdated gaming rig into a home theater system. Hard requirements for the build would be:

4k blu-ray playback

Utilizing an ATX motherboard with a discrete graphics card.

Horizontal installation

I'm looking for a blu-ray drive that doesn't have a tray so it won't be a pain to use on its side. I haven't been able to find an atx case designed to lay on its side nor have I found a trayless blu-ray drive. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks for the fast response! It's surprisingly tough to case shop here in canada.
