Unfortunately, my motherboard doesn't have a HDMI Port. It has a VGA and a DVI port, and my monitor only has a hdmi port connected to my gpu's hdmi port.

Unplug your system and remove the CMOS battery for around 60 seconds. Re-insert the battery and try to boot the system again

Hey guys,

So, i bought a new set of adata xpg gammix d30 8gb ddr4 ram 3200 mhz, to replace my old 2400mhz ram sets.

After, installing the new ram sets, i am not getting a display. My motherboard, MSI A320 PRO VD/s, has an ez debug portion where the light is stuck on boot with no display.

The light goes momentarily from cpu led, to dram, vga, and then gets stuck at boot.  I had also ordered a new ssd to replace my hdd.

Also, Now my old ram doesn't work either. It gets stuck at boot led.

Tried all basic methods

1. Tried with one stick of ram, and then to both the sticks,

2. Removing and re-seating the cmos battery,

3. Ensured all the wires are connected,

4. Tried with hdd, ssd once at a time,

5. Ensured proper force to install ram.

What could be the possible reason behind this that even my old ram doesn't work. I didn't damaged the motherboard ram slots while installing the new ones.

Ryzen 3 2200g,

A320m pro vds msi,

Cm 550w mwe 80 plus,

Rx 570.

I presume the system boots normally if you put the old 2400mhz RAM back in?

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Sounds to me like it may be booting just fine. Have you tried switching to the display output on your motherboard? It may be set to integrated graphics.

I get no display. Its just a plain black screen.

that means something like ultra fast boot is enabled (so it skips the splash screen and directly tries to boot the OS). Need to clear CMOS to get rid of the setting then

Sometimes if I push my system too hard, example:

1900 1:1 13-13-13-32 2T 1.645v = hard lock.

Clear cmos, pulling battery, nothing like that works. Dead board. Hangs at orange light.

Install my GTX 580 that is about 2 days older than dirt hit go and it fires right up.

I don't really have anything else to offer.. other than it is definitely memory related 😄

Thank You so much. I did that, and it worked. No idea why it didn't worked the first time, but anyways thanks a lot. I really appreciate it.
