Odd GPU behaviour

Since yesterday my PC has been acting odd

- a few days ago the monitor lost signal but it looked like the PC was still on.

- yesterday it restarted when playing CS GO

- This morning it restarted when playing CS:GO

- then shortly after when I was "working" I use Citrix to log onto my work PC and had CS GO on the background - the display went off, and the PC was still on as I could log onto my PC via Google remote desktop.

 

specs

AMD R5 5600x

32gb 3200 Crucial ballistix

Asus Strix B550i

Nvidia 3070 FE

Case - NZXT H1(with all riser fixes)

PSU NZXT 650w gold

 

My 3070 is at power limited to 80% and temps don't go over 78c

your gpu is at 80% without doing anything or when playing?

sorry meant power limited to 80% - I have a SFF PC to reduce temps

so ive just done a 3D mark stress test

20 loops of timespy and it passed?

it's the founders edition

So you've set the power to 80%, what about the clocks and voltage? Did you tune those down as well?

ive set the power limit on afterburner to 80%, it automatically clocks the card and voltage. also ive had this for months

 

did another 3dmark stress test and it crashed at the end

erm im stupid.....

 

the GPU power was loose on the PSU side

 

tried my sons 3060TI FE

changed riser cable lol

 

then realised the GPU power was loose on the PSU side
