Anything more than ~$1500 for exclusively gaming is overkill, and not worth the minimal gains.

A 3070 paired with a 5600X should be a perfect combo for high-refresh 1080p gaming even in more demanding AAA titles (recommended resolution).

Something like 1440p is still possible with this hardware, although it is not a guaranteed high-refresh experience in every game.

Here's what I'd recommend:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KKXJ3Z

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X  ($299.00 @ B&H)
CPU Cooler: Scythe FUMA 2  ($59.99 @ Amazon)

Ask and you shall receive, for an extra $33 those aren't bad changes at all!

I also didn't realize you could get a multi-rail PSU for that cheap now, good eye. 😁
