Budget (including currency): 28k Indian Rupees ($480 Approx.) (Am on a really tight budget can't think of even a $5 increase)

Country: india

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games, wfh, movies.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): resolution. 1080p medium to low.

Hi,

Am planning on a new build in 2020 but we all know how that went.

Games i play are: Halo MCC, Battlefront 2, cs:go, Halo infinite, gta 5, cod infinite warfare. (1080p medium)

So, have shortlisted a few parts, also keeping in mind I'm on a extremely tight bidget can't think of even a $5 increase on parts, a decrease is always welcome. Plan on keeping this pc till 5 years.

I've chosen a Ryzen 5 5600g as there is a GPU crisis and also i don't have the budget right now, maybe in the future a rtx 3050 or an amd 6500.

I dont need pcie 4.0 and never ever plan to use any of the M.2 drives at all, sata is best for me.

If i choose the Asus tuf gaming a520m plus motherboard could i overclock the iGPU in the Ryzen 5 5600g even from within windows ?

Please help me choose a good motherboard,

Cpu:  Ryzen 5 5600g,

Mobo: Asus prime b450m a II OR Asus Tuf gaming A520m plus.

RAM: ADATA xpg 3200 ddr4 8gb x2.

Psu: already use from my older build, Gigabyte 550 80 plus bronzs.

Hdd: from older build, seagate 1 tb hdd.

Case, monitor, keyboard and mouse all from older build.

Thanks.

Couldn’t find any 5600gs for sale in my area so I looked up news.  Claim is they’re only available in OEM stuff till the end of the year.  If they’re available in your area you’re getting them before a lot of people.  There is a claim that they “fall to the 11400” but there isn’t any description I can find on exactly how they fall.  You seem more interested in gpu performance.  5600g is apparently coming with vega7, which higher end Xe should be able to beat.  Whether an 11400 is available with higher end Xe though is another question.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Available where you are and not as a tray part apparently.  Ok.  A520 is supposed to not be able to overclock but apparently there are ways. Sort of.  Sometimes.  Apparently one board in gigabyte’s initial release bios could do it anyway.  Perhaps an oversight. Apparently buildzoid got one going but it seems flakey even for him.  Seems like something that would be hard to count on and if you did get one. He also may have gotten pre-release stuff.  Buildzoid is North American.  I don’t know if it’s Canada or US. He’s associated with Gamers Nexus, not sure exactly how, which means he could have access to stuff not available yet.  Boxed 5600s arent supposed to be available in this area till the end of the year.  He said the chip was a 560 which implies something nonstandard.  This might be an OEM board with a prebuilt’s or beta bios.
This video is the only info I’ve got.
