I'm currently running dual EVGA GTX 770 Superclocked's and it seems like they aren't being used to the full potential. A week or so ago I was getting 120 frames per second constant in BF3, but now it's dipping into the 50's and 60's for extended periods. Looking at precision x, the cards are running at 1110 MHz when in BF3. I've also made sure that Prefer Maximum Performance is set in the Nvidia control panel, but that doesn't seem to be the issue. Does anyone have any other ideas?

I think in BF4, though can't entirely tell there. Though I don't really notice it use the boost clock with games at the moment. I know they do ramp up when I'm using Unreal Engine 4.

Have you monitored temperatures?

Yes, in bF3 it sits in the mid 40's on both cards. which is pretty much their idle temps.

-snip-

What is your CPU usage & gpu usage percentage when in game? Does this change when you notice the framerate dips?

Also what kind of CPU do you have?

did you setup a proper sli profile through nvidia inspector?

I've never had to do that in the past, so no.

I opened up the performance overlay on bF3 on an empty server and ran around a bit. Did notice some spikes in CPU there. What I did find very odd was when I opened up DXtory to try and record the graph. Framerate dropped to 10-20 and CPU bar on the graph was going nuts. Which hadn't happened before.

As for my CPU, it's a 4930k. Entire PC build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3c2xh

try unparking the cpu cores. I myself don't know much about it since i dont need to do it with my puny 4 cores(lol), but im sure others on this forum have had experience

Finally my Santa hat doesn't look out of place

They're all unparked currently. One of the first things I did when I put the thing together. :P

Hm, also interesting to note is that my processor is only hitting a max multiplier of 36(Should be 39, overclocks currently turned off), even under processor intensive functions. Starting to look like a processor issue instead maybe =\

The boost don't usually kick in ingame, try setting your cpu for a simple 4ghz.

and also set-up a proper sli profile using nvidia inspector, can do wonders.

Can you link to more info or something on setting up a proper profile in nvidia inspector? So far I've only used nvidia inspector to force SSAA in games but haven't messed around with the SLI settings at all.
