All,

I want to build an ultiamte emulator to play as many emualtors as possible from a single device.  Loking to run on a small form factor machine like a NUC etc but open to the device provided it can emulate PS3 as I thin thats going to be the most graphically intensive device to emulate.  Also want the device to be IR or Bluetooth (preferably both) for my universal remote top power on and off.

Does anyone have suggestions for 1) a decent hardware device to run all this and 2) operating system to run onthe device to run the emulators?

Thanks.

Linux or windows is going to have more than anything else.  Generally a lot of gpu isn’t going to be needed and there are a whole lot of usb dongles to do various things. It could get a bit octopus like but a Nuc isn’t the worst idea.  They generally have enough cpu and gpu to do what you need and it’s not like you need a whole bunch of video out. The thing you may want is a powered USB hub or two for the various bits you’re going to need to attach.  Various wireless and infra red doodads.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
