Hi there all,

Got my babies(pair of babies ?) today! Well they were replaced under warranty. Are there any other QC15/Other noise cancelling users out there ? If so what are you thoughts and experiences with this awesome technology ? Oh and everyone else xD Im interested to hear the general consensus of the LTT community.

Look forward to reading the responses!

imo, they're a consumer-friendly brand that most people would be perfectly happy with, even if the products themselves are a little overpriced

I have a pair of OC-2s, they burn through AAA batteries quite fast, recommend using eneloop rechargeable batteries. I had never used an open pair of headphones for a few years, then I tried out my brother's Sennheiser HD 598s recently, wow, big difference between closed and open. Both have their place in the world. I use Bose when I have to study, and do not want any distractions. Open headphones are on my wishlist at the moment.

the ear cup pleather material deteriorates quite quickly for me, usually have to replace within 18 months of daily use. about $50 USD to replace both ear cups.

I've tried the Sennheiser PC360 ( I think they are simlar to 558/598 ?) but they didn't sound that great to me also probably due the fact that I tried them at a LAN and the environment was quite loud. I picked the QC15's up for a decent price ( only one Bose retailer in Johannesburg, Soundimports.co.za ) R5200 or $490USD. Do Sennheiser have any active noise cancellation headphones ?
