Welcome to the forums!!!

There is already an integrated graphics processing unit (or iGPU for short), located on the 3400G. If you plan on adding a dedicated graphics card, just make sure that your current motherboard has room for a PCIe #.0x16 expansion slot and that the power supply you are using can provide it with enough power.

Basically it was "plug and play" just remember to connect the display to the gpu hdmi or Dp out rather than motherboard display out

And ofc install a newest stable driver from the brand you buying the gpu from (nvidia & amd)

1. Plug the graphics card into a PCI-e x16 slot on your motherboard

2. Connect the supplementary power connector cables (if any are required) from your power supply to the graphics card

3. Connect your display to the graphics card via HDMI or DisplayPort

4. Install the appropriate drivers for the graphics card (possibly unnecessary if you get an AMD card)

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

You can if you want. Use a software like Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to remove any trace of the graphics drivers from the system.

DDU can be found here: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

No it shouldn't. When you remove those drivers, Windows will automatically search for drivers or use the built in Basic Display Adaptor Drivers to just get the system up and running.

You don't need to, it's mostly plug and play.

there can however, be issues with the drivers but not always and it will not harm anything.

Also that you have to move to another display port like on the GPU.

why are other saying i need to uninstall apu drivers?

This is how I would do it.

  1. Download the correct drivers that go with the graphics card you are about to install.
  2. Disconnect from the Internet (unplug the Ethernet cable or disconnect from Wi-Fi).
  3. Reboot into Safe Mode for DDU to be used properly.
  4. Clean wipe and shutdown option inside DDU.
  5. Install graphics card and connect PCIe power cables if applicable, as well is display cables.
  6. Turn on PC, login and install the previously downloaded graphics drivers from step 1.
  7. Reboot and connect back to the Internet and you should be good to go!

You can if you want. Typically, the iGPU will become disabled when a dedicated graphics card is installed with their drivers. There shouldn't be any issues.

Come back here if you have issues again, if not able to post for some reason then just use the APU again and ask here or else where. 🙂

plug and play, just switch the cable port to the card and sometimes might be changed in OS.

If using windows, then going to the settings for the monitor/graphics or Nvidia control panel (software included) to change.

Else it should work by normal and is just plug and play.
