Mainboard for APUs

Hello everyone,

I'm playing around with APUs and it's pretty fun

Can the SoC VRM and Mainboard affect APUs OC potential significantly?

Which mainboard would be the best APU mainboard?

 

My 3200G runs at 4Ghz and 1.7Ghz igpu.

3400G runs at 4Ghz asd 1.75Ghz igpu.

It can if it is not good enough and cannot handle the current required. But normally if you have even a half decent board you are limited by the apu's ocing potential.

I have the AsRock B550M-ITX but the VRM phases can affect the voltage stability right?

A little bit but that is an excellent board so basically a non issue here. You are at the limit of what these budget apu's can do.

Ah ok thanks. Is the Gigabyte B550 Aorus AX ITX much better than my AsRock?

No. Changing motherboard will do NOTHING for you. You have simply reached the limit of these chips.
