Hey guys,

I have this project to downsize my current 2017 build into a NR200P :
  - CPU Ryzen 5 1600X (2017)

  - GPU : GTX 1080 Sniper by KFA

  - Case : NZXT S340
  - MB : Asus PRIME X370-Pro

  - RAM : 2x8 Gb Hyper X Fury Low Profile DDR4 2400hz

  - HDD: 1 To WD Blue Caviar

  - SSD : 128 Gb Kingston SSD

So I bought a Cooler Master NR200P, a smaller power supply, and a new motherboard (AORUS B550I Pro AX) that I thought was compatible with every other components but it turns out it wasn't... So I'm taking this opportunity to downsize and upgrade (around those components) while trying to keep the same performance :

 - New CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3700X PCIe 4.0

 - CPU Cooler:  Wraith Prism
 - New MB AORUS B550I Pro AX
 - New PSU : Seasonic FOCUS GX-650

 - New RAM (because I think the old one isn't compatible with the CPU ?) : Corsair Vengeance LPX 16Go (2x8Go) DDR4 3200MHz C16 XMP 2.0
 - Same GPU : GTX 1080 Sniper by KFA
 - New SSD: Samsung SSD 870 EVO, 1 TB. (can't use an M.2 as my GPU won't fit on the MB with the SSD shield on, but now that I think about it I could use a riser cable to place my GPU lower and have an M;2)

I'm open to suggestion and compatibility check, or any other comments 😄 !

Cheers

PS: I know this is the wrong sub-forum I'll looking for a way to transfer it to the Build sub forum

That old ram is compatible, but a 2x8gb 2400mhz kit on amd won't be the best performance by a long shot. A 2x8gb 3200mhz kit will be a huge perf increase.

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

Pretty solid to me

And the ram is still compatible since 300, 400, and 500 series amd motherboard is using the same ddr4 standard but the new one is going to perform better
