Anyone else have a Dell 45W USB-C charger getting very hot?

I recently bought a XPS 13 9300 and it included a 45W very compact USB-C charger. I have noticed that it takes a very long time for the laptop to charge, which I found funny because the 45W charger should be plenty.

When moving the charger last night I almost dropped it because it had gotten incredibly hot while charging the laptop over a couple hours. I don't have anything fancy like a thermal camera but I used a mutimeter to measure the temperature and found that it was getting to 55-62c (130-140f), depending on where the probe was located. I was wondering if this is just a poorly designed charger and others were having the same issue if they also had a similar model.

I also have used a M1 Air quite extensively, it also has a similar power USB-C charger included, that is around the same size. It also took a very long time for the laptop to charge, but the actual power supply did not heat up much at all. So I just don't understand what Dell screwed up.
