need to backup tubo tax and quicken but how?

Personally with this one i would say a good bet is to jump into the program files, if you root around you may find a documents folder/files folder in there which you can copy which will help, if im honest, im not familier with these programs so i am taking nothing more than a guess, but this should be a step the right way.

i need to do a fresh install of windows 7 on my moms laptop but there is stuff on there that she CAN'T loose(ie. tubo tax and quicken) i know how to back up everything else just not those two,any help?
