M.2 or SATA SSD?

I am planning on making a gaming pc. In my shopping cart on the micro center website I currently have both a m.2 and a SATA SSD. I don't know much about computers but I was wondering if I need both. If I need one more than the other, which one is it and which brand should I get. I would want to mainly play Minecraft and Rocket League on it along with streaming and recording for YouTube. I would want the best brand but not too much money as I do not want my whole build to go over $1700. It is currently it is at $1638 with the m.2 being $55, and the SATA SSD being $60. My motherboard is the ASRock Z590 with onboard Wi-Fi for $170. I was also wondering if I need onboard Wi-Fi if I use wireless Wi-Fi.

i would get a m.2 and then a hard drive if you need more storage and i would recommend planning on pc part piker because if you go to the microcenter store they will match the pcpart piker price. microcenter is not always the cheapest

For gaming, literally does not matter.

I'd get the biggest bang/buck drive regardless of form factor.

You either need onboard wifi or a separate wifi adapter.  Whatever you want, as long as you have a wifi "something".

You only need one storage device as long as it has enough capacity for your needs. If budget permits a 2TB NVMe drive would be good. Otherwise I'd suggest a 1TB model. If the budget is really tight you could get a SATA III ssd. There would be a small performance penalty. If the budget is even tighter, get a 500MB ssd and a 2TB hdd. More of a performance penalty with this last option.

If the motherboard has WiFi there is generally no need to get an add-on WiFi card.
