The only one I could find in where I live is the Fractal Design FD-C-MES2X-02 Meshify 2 XL and it is a E-ATX which I don't know really what it means.

It is in my price range, and it has dust protectors on every vent. I might pick this one up. What is your thoughts on it?

EATX basically means extra ATX. its a slightly bigger motherboard than the ATX board so if it supports an EATX it will more than likely support the mATX you have now and the ATX you were looking at.

i can not give you a definate yes or no as i do now know. i went from a mod tower to a super tower like it said but it seems like a good over all case. before you buy it i would get the messurements of your GPU because its going to have to fit inside the case with the cables attached and side panel closed to make sure you get limited dust inside the case.

Hi.

I need some few pointers with a pc case. I live in South Africa in a dusty region, is there a pc case you can recommend with some dust proof or dust resistant features.

Maybe I am doing my fan layout wrong , at the moment I got 3 on top blowing up , 3 in front blowing in , 1 exhaust and 1 blowing from the bottom.

The case I currently got is a Cougar Gemini S RGB Mid-Tower Iron Grey.

Thank you.

Regards

Zombie.

The Silverstone Mammoth MM01 is as dust proof as you get but idk if those are for sale anywhere anymore

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

most cases today are about as dust proof as you can get because they restrict the amount of airflow into the case massivle. such as the NZXT 510 series of cases. now this is not all cases but a good amount of them. choosing a specific case is going to needed to be decided on by a few of the factors below.

motherboard size? ATX, mATX, ITX, etc.

number of HDDs/SSDs needed or wanted?

budget?

color wanted?

tempered glass/ acrylic side panel?

case sixe? mini tower, mid tower, full tower, super tower etc.

what i have listed are just some examples, not what you have to pick from.

With my specs below , what would you suggest?

Motherboard size: mATX

HDD 3.5" : 2

SSD 2.5" : 2

Budget: $200 US

Color: Anything except white.

I like glass or acrylic it's more about cooling and dust protection.

I can go any size except Super Tower as it's on my desk at the moment.

But at the moment I am thinking of upgrading my whole setup except my GPU. What would be a fitting box for this?

CPU: AMD RYZEN 5 5600X

CPU cooler: Corsair iCUE H100i Pro RGB XT Extreme

Motherboard: MSI B550-A PRO

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB * 2

GPU: XFX RX590 Fatboy

Thank you.

ok so you are looking for a case that is a ATX mini tower and up because it has to support the ATX board you are looking at, able to support a 240mm AIO (all in one), has spots for 2 HDDs and 2 SSDs.

for good airflow i would reccoment the fractal design meshifty series of cases. i can not give you a specific one because i went from a cheap mid tower case to a $500 super tower skipping all the ones in between and pretty much knew what i was going to get so i didnt even look at the others.

I have never bought a Fractal case before , but if I am going off the reviews and your suggestion. This pc case will be great for the space that it will be in.

Thank you for the help.

you are welcome. i was asking the questions i was because they are ones that need to be asked by you. "what do i have?" "what do i need?" "what do i want?"."will this or that fit?". these are just some of the things that need to be answered for you to get your answer. i was using a site called pcpartpicker.com (linked below) to help pick out a case that would at least come close to what you want. the site is not perfect as it is more for listing what you currently have more than what you want but it has over 4300 cases listed and with what you were looking for i narrowed it down to just under 400 cases.

Thank you - I am on the site now. I am just a bit limited to the case options in my country but I will compare and browse on part picker.
