linux drivers....

got a new pc that i want to use as a linux box... but it didnt detect my network card when i installed Ubuntu..... but i did find drivers for everything on dell website (for ubuntu).... so not to give up.... how do i do this ? do i put the file on the usb stick and reinstall or what ?

What specs is the system? What network card? What version of ubuntu?

Can you run lspci to find out the model of the nic?

 

Does the nic show up at all in ip addr?

oh i gave up and installed winderrrs

in winderrs network adapters i have intel(r) 825579LM gigabit network connection\and 10 wan miniports

maybe i should just install ubuntu 21.04 ?
