RTX 3090 emulation

Go to solution Solved by WaggishOhio383,

It doesn't take a very powerful GPU to emulate up to consoles like the PS2, Wii, or Gamecube. But on Xbox 360/PS3 you'll struggle not because of your GPU, but because emulators for those systems just don't work very well yet (as you already mentioned). So really for any well-functioning emulator that exists right now, you won't benefit from having a 3090 at all.

Just how well does this absolute titan of a GPU perform with emulators? I would assume that it can demolish any emulated game you can throw at it, apart from PS3 and XBox 360 which still have a lot of kinks to work through.

I mostly speak from my own past experience from similar problems. My solution may not work for you, but I'll always try my best to help as much as I can. If you want me to see your reply, make sure to quote my comment or mention me @WaggishOhio383, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

It is the best performing gpu on the market. So yeah. If it's going to be better than anything else available...

I ran switch emulator on a 3060 and 3070, with a 3900x

Didn't see much difference because it's CPU bound, so I can't see 3090 performing any better

But other emulators may benefit from it

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately
