cpu 100% cpu usage spikes

Recently i have been getting insane cpu spikes out of nowhere. Mostly when i'm gaming. Out of nowhere my cpu goes up from 40% to 100% for a second and makes my entire screen freeze and cuts out sound. I tried watching the processes in the taskmanager to see what program causes this. But when it spikes, i dont see any high cpu usages but the total still says 100%.

I dont know how i could troubleshoot this.

Anyone know what i could try?

Perform a clean boot

For now this seems to fix it, but this only happens like twice an hour while gaming so ill test more tomorrow.

What i did see was when i play aim lab after clean boot my gpu is at 100% all the time unless i cap my fps, then it goes back to 30%.
