So I just built a new PC for work and I went to turn it on but no display is coming up. I have reseated the ram, I have checked the power connectors (there is room on my mobo for another 4 pin CPU connector but I don't have one. The only one I have is the 8 pin that came with my psu). I have changed graphics cards but I still get nothing.

Not sure if it matters, but I am using a ryzen 5 5600x

Rx570 GPU

MSI x570 gaming plus mobo

32GB of corsair ram

Not really sure where to go from here. Could my CPU be the issue? It is brand new and I have also reseated it twice. No pins damaged. I don't have another cpu to test.

few problems:

  • mobo has to have all power connectors connected, I've seen mobos working with 4 pin even if 8 pin is required but here I am not sure...
  • your CPU 5600x require BIOS 7C37vAB that was released 2020-11-04 so you might have an old BIOS https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/MPG-X570-GAMING-PLUS#down-bios
  • do U have any sounds on POST? [make sure you have speaker connected 7158JrlVinL._AC_SL1500_.jpg

if not remove ram and start computer tell us what you hear

@hardwin82 As you can see, i have power going to CPU PWR1 but CPU PWR2 is unoccupied. There is no other connectors for me to place here.

Also, i cannot flash my bios since I am not even able to POST or get into the BIOS at all. I have tried clearing the CMOS and that did not do anything either.

The GPU fans are not spinning at all and I have tried two different GPUs as well as two separate power cables. I am not sure what is going on with the GPU. I am supposed to be using the "PCI-e" power cord correct?

Also @NotFakeName I did make sure the cable is plugged into the GPU.

Any ideas? I am at a complete loss here.

Looks just like hardwin82 said, you need to flash bios, but to do that you need compatible cpu like 3900 or below(2700 etc.) and then you could flash new bios, but it also could be defective cpu
