game flickering while playing games

my pc has a rx 570 (power color) and a ryzen 5 5600x

my monitor is a msi optix g242 144Hz.

i am having screen flickering issues with all games, however my screen does not flicker for any other uses including scrolling through task manager.

my radeon drivers are up to date and i have freesync setup, and my windows display settings are match up with my monitor Hz.

any one have any ideas on how to fix this? please let me know.

What kind of display cable are you using?

Try a display port cable instead.

Assuming your GPU has a display port.
