Glass cleaner can ruin any coating the display has (anti-glare and such). Really shouldn't be using it.

I use some cheap screen wipes. Never had issues with it. Can't find the exact ones I have but these seem to be simular. I also use these for my phone screens and side panel 😄

Yep, did that to my Dell U3415W... now it has dark smudges if you look closely on dark backgrounds. Don't use Windex, etc.

Unless ur screen has a glass surface, ur best bet is to use a soft slightly damp cloth and nothing more.

LCD displays tend not to have a glass surface, instead they have a slightly porous plastic surface. This is why liquid can damage it, additional its also why cleaning solutions not specifically designed for LCD surfaces can also damage the display.
