A quick question about m2 disk compatibility

Silencix

Hi all, I have a Gigabyte B450M DS3H V2 motherboard and I wanted to ask if the SSDSCKKF180H6H disk is compatible with my motherboard. Thank you very much in advance. Best regards.

I am not sure if its the case for your motherboard but, when you use M2 SATA SSDs couple of SATA ports gets disabled.

Gigabyte lists the M.2 Slot as Sata capable so it will work:

Quote

1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 SATA and PCIe x4/x2 SSD support)

also whenever you lose sata ports or not can be checked by pcpartpicker when you select a random m.2 sata ssd and the same motherboard

Make sure to quote me if you want me to respond
Thanks :)

as I was looking at the m2 port only has 2 slots and the disk has 3 connectors, how is that difference?
