COD: Mobile BR causing iPad Pro 11” (2018) to crash

Sometimes when I play Battle Royale the game randomly will hitch for a second and make a couple of robotic sounding noises and then my iPad will crash and restart. Thankfully I can always rejoin my session and finish the game but it seems to happen even when nothing is going on in the game. I’d say crashes occur once in every 6 games, so definitely notable. 
 

It only happens in BR, multiplayer is fine. My best guess for what is causing this is a memory issue since the iPad only has 4 GB of RAM. Temps are a tad warm, but not hot so I don’t think it’s a temperature issue. Graphics configuration is shown below.

nonono theres something wrong, the games are optimized for the lack of memory that comes with ios devices(meaning that such problems shouldnt occur)

i say that because i used to play fortnite from time to time on my ipad pro and it never had any problems(if you ignore the boiling hot aluminum back)

 

i assume youve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game?
