A Samsung rollable?

Bratstech

Summary

Rumors and leaks have been popping up about Samsung! These leaks suggest that they are working on a rollable smartphone. The evidence is that they recently trademarked the name "Z Roll". Everyone is predicting that we will be getting the phone as early as next year. They have kind of teased the smartphone in this video here: ([SID 2021] Better life through Samsung OLED - YouTube) However they were just teasing the tech and not teasing an actual phone and just teasing a bunch of new tech that they are working on.

Quote

"The trademark application is for a device named the “Z Roll.” If we go by the names of Samsung’s current foldable phones like the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip, it’s not too difficult to imagine a rollable phone called the Galaxy Z Roll. Then again, Samsung could be just covering its bases by acquiring the moniker in case it ever decides to launch a rollable phone." - Android Authority

My thoughts

I think that Samsung is just throwing out products to see which ones people want and which ones people don't. Either way its good for customers as it gives them more choice in what they want.

Well with LG out of the mobile game, so we won't see their rollable, this looks interesting.

When you think going back to flip phones (in form of foldables) was enough of a stretch and then the new challenger takes us back to using scrolls.

Next thing you know we are going to have phones mimicking cave paintings

Personally I think it should be called the Z-Slide. Could make a sick advert with some help from good old DJ Casper.
