i have a 27 inch acer xf270hu i think it is and its 144 hz refresh and has been a awsome monitor and still works great, but i have an eye condition called fuchs dystrophy  where ill have a haze sometimes words might not quite be in focus. i mean i can see and drive but my display gets bright and i have resolution at 1080p. i run a 2080ti and i get great fps so im thinking of going to a 1080p 240hz monitor for the fps and i think it minght be better for my eyes. any suggestions or recommendations. as of now im looking at the alienware 25 1080p 240 hz and the asus tuf 24 1080p 280 hz. thanks

No, that's not how it works. FPS does nothing for the clarity. Well at least for normal eyes.

I think you should try before you buy, see if it helps your condition.

A real waste of money if you ask me, better get a higher resolution.

this is the monitor i have now and i do like it and its amd free sync and says not gsync compatible but i have it set up for gysync in nvidia control panel and while gaming it shows gsync in top corber so i assume its working, mim running a evga rtx 2080ti and get 140 to 215 fpr depending on what game im in.

if i would have done more research i would have got a gsync certified but maybe it doesnt make a difference, i think im addicted to fps i want all i can get lol.
