why would you even decide to downgrade to windows 7 from 8.1? There is seriously no reason I can think of, windows 8.1 is better in every possible way (inb4 app compatibility because that can easily be fixed)

Going to need way more information than that.

And, what is your question exactly?

i get the error ''windows 7 is not compatible with the hardware''  after it's 80% into the installation

the laptop should work with windows 7

  • 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor

  • 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)

  • 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)

  • DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

btw what did u with windows 8 ?

did u delete the partition or something

same error

hmm go to bios and reset to default if that didnt help

go to bios and check if sata is set to IDE or AHCI

EDIT

the hard drive might have damaged sector that stops windows from installing

when u start trying to install windows again make two partition(split them in half) and install it in the second partition  to see if there is a damaged sector issue on the first one

A small percent chance might be that the hard drive is failing.....trying using a hard drive from another laptop

Might be a bios issue

A friend of mine had a similar issue in a sony vaio...i will ask him

edit

you might be on to something

can't get to a second HDD

u dont need to

it might be a single damaged sector only

also before you do this try resetting the bios to factory defaults and installing windows again it might be something else IF that fails then

the hard drive might have damaged sector that stops windows from installing

when u start trying to install windows again make two partition(split them in half) and install it in the second partition  to see if there is a damaged sector issue on the first one
