What wifi booster?

It doesn't really matter how its plugged in, but location can make a big different in terms of signal strength.

Here's the booster I'm using: https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/networking/wifi-range-extenders/tp-link-re200-wifi-range-extender-ac-750-dual-band-10024654-pdt.html

Do WIFI boosters work better when plugged directly into the wall, rather than through a four plug extension cord for example. I recently purchased a WIFI booster and want as strong a signal as possible.

No it shouldn't have any bearing on performance. Like stated above where you have it placed matters more. These need to be put in an area where the router provides great signal. They are not meant to be put on the edge of coverage.

Also if your trying to find ways to increase your performance, forget it. WiFi extenders generally cut your bandwidth in half. Its just how they are designed.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Really? This one is doing me pretty well. I'm not cutting out as often as I used to. Would you recommend a powerline adapter instead?

Power line adapters wont hit rated speed either and are unpredictable in terms of if they work or NOT. Moca is a better standard but adapters are expensive and you need to have Coax ran.
