Raid 0 and primocache

I just got a second Toshiba N300 8tb drive for games and I'm considering putting it in raid 0 with my other identical games HDD. 

I've been using primocache to accelerate the existing 8tb games drive so I would carry that forward (256gb off of a SN750 also used for games).  

 

Would this be worth the effort or even boost performance at all?

Pro(s):
Faster transfers between the HDDs and SSDs
One volume to manage

I will have a spare 8tb drive to move the current drives contents too while setting up the raid.

Improved sequential R/W.

 

Con(s):
Redownloading 9+ terabytes of games if a drive fails would be kind of annoying (only get 200-600mbs down)

I'd have to learn how to set up a raid array.

Reduced random R/W for non cached contents.

I'd probably just be lazy and have 2 seperate drives. Much simpler, and you won't have to redownload or copy all your files back to the new raid array.

Honestly, that would be the smart thing to do but it's not nearly as cool! 
I think I'll probably take the advise though It'll just make things easier.
