Hi,

I have problem after I switched to Windows 8. When I turn on my computer it boots and shows logging screen, after I write down my password and hit enter it black screens and I can only reboot using case botton and when it reboots everything works properly. I don't know it does happen. I searched google but I could find the answer. Maybe you will help me solve my problem. Thanks in advance.

I had something similar, from my research it might have been caused by some conflict between the motherboard drivers and gpu drivers, specifically the audio ones if I remember correctly. That could be very wrong though, but I fixed my problem by reinstalling the OS. Hopefully someone else will come here with a better solution :)

Hmm very strange issue.

The last time I saw this issue, was when my GPU drivers crashed when I logged in, and that was when I was using  the public beta version of Windows 8, and first beta version of the GPU drivers.

It got fixed the day after with a driver update.

I would try and uninstall your graphic card drivers, motherboard and sound card. Install only the motherboard drivers, reboot, and see if everything is working. If it is, install your GPU driver, and test again. And finally audio driver. If it block at, lets say your GPU driver, try 1 version older drivers, or if it exists, the latest beta drivers.

My screen is going black when I turn it from 0 if I reboot it it turns on normally. Yes, the problem is back. When I turned it on for the 4th time it happened again. I have uninstalled graphic, audio drivers and the problem is still here. Maybe some other suggestions?

Try and disable fast startup. It is only executes when you do a shutdown, so it might explain why a reboot doesn't cause it.

To do this, open the Power Options panel (Win+W, then type Power OR right-click at the bottom left corner of the screen on the desktop, and click on Power Options), then on the power option panel, click on the left column: Choose what the power buttons do. Then click on Change settings that are current unavailable.

Finally, at the bottom, you'll notice a check box: Turn on fast startup (recommended). Uncheck it.

Click on Save Settings, and see if your problem is solved.
