Sleeper Build.

Go to solution Solved by Radium_Angel,

You can put little insulating paper rings between the case and mobo.

Hello.

I'm building a sleeper pc but when I remove the old motherboard it turns out that it was directly screwed to case I wonder if I install the new motherboard like before is there a chance for it to short circuit and destroy my new components?

most likely, it will not like that.

if you could use or reform the holes to fit motheboard standoffs then you could.

or as above, but still not the best way to do it, although you can likely put as much insulating that you need.
