ram speed and cpu compatibility?

i bought a i7 10700 and i have some corsair 16g 3200 mhz ram coming but on the intel webiste it says its ram speed for the cpu is 2933 mhz so will my pc not turn on?

It'll post at Jedec 2133mhz at first post. Nothing to worry about. You have to enable XMP profile to run the memory at 3200mhz.

What's your motherboard?

 

If I understand Intel spec correctly, you will be unable to run it faster than 2933 MHz, unless on a Z490 or Z590 board.

How about ram speed rated slower than what the cpu spec says? Like i got some 2400 ddr4 and im considering to buy a cpu that says 2666 at it's page,will that work
