Unless you have a gun pointed to your head, no--never.

Is a copy of Windows needed?

What kind of content creation are you working on? What for?

Are you limited to Amazon and overclockers or are you open to other UK vendors?

I would suggest this:

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/3iXPz

If you only games on this computer, and dont do that much video editing other than what you list then the i5 4670k is already enough, given that you do plan to overclock. If you want you can upgrade it to 4770k too. The motherboard I choose base on my preference, but you can go with sabertooth.

My rig: Intel Core i7 4790k | MSI Z97 PC Mate | GSKILL Ripjaws X 16GB 1866MHz | ADATA Premier SP550 480GB SSD | Seagate Barracuda 3TB | Seagate Barracuda 2TB  | MSI Gaming X GTX 1070 | Thermaltake Versa N21 | Corsair CX550M Semi Modular PSU | AOC G2460PF 144Hz | Logitech G502 | GSKILL Ripjaws KM780  | GAMDIAS HEPHAESTUS V2  PCPartPicker | Old Build Log | New Build Log

1500 GBP is around 2500 USD, Yes you can build a Intel extreme mashine of that but if you want the top of the line stuff like Rampage iv black/4930k / 780 TI then you have to put some less money on stuff like case/CPU cooler, bla bla bla....

I recommed you a Socket 1150 system instead because of your budget.

You can go 2011 if you want to and then upgrade to better stuff.you can always choose to to not buy anything now and save up to 2000 GBP or higher and then Go 2011

Yes it will do just fine, even better if you plan on overclocking it but that is up to you. The 4770K is a great chip.

You could go a tier higher to the 6 core i7 but that will set you another couple hundred bucks back for about 1/3 more performance.

I'd say go with the 4770K It's 'overkill' for gaming and great for 3D modeling and video editing.

hell yah , even if run it at only 4 cores ,and enable all 6 of em to get the thing flying ,how ever don't overclocked ,maybe a bit but don't go too far because yes you'll get more performance ,but then it's life time will shrink like hell ,get one with high clock speed stock is better

well as i said if you oc it to far ,you'll have to deal with swaping the CPU sooner or later ! but it's up to you, unless you get it like very well cooled down

There's like no point getting a 4770k for 3D modeling... It isn't even cpu heavy. Any heavy modeling is more reliant on a stable and smooth viewport which is reliant on your gpu.

I am limited to them beacuse they ship to where i am right now

Alright. How's this look? http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/3iYao
